Abadal 25HP

The Abadal 25HP was introduced as a higher-powered counterpart to the 18HP, featuring the same 3.6-liter four-cylinder engine but with enhanced output. With 25 horsepower under the hood, this model showcased Abadal’s intent to offer both power and sophistication, catering to a clientele that demanded more performance from their luxury automobiles. Produced in limited numbers in 1913, the 25HP combined elegant bodywork with improved engineering, delivering a more dynamic driving experience. Like its predecessor, it featured advanced suspension for the era and luxurious interior finishes, including leather seating and polished wood trim. The 25HP’s design, characterized by its sweeping curves, long hood, and prominent grille, echoed the styling of contemporary luxury cars from Europe. Francisco Abadal’s vision for the 25HP was to compete directly with marques like Hispano-Suiza and luxury French automakers. Despite its promise, the 25HP remained a rare and exclusive model, as Abadal’s production capabilities were limited. Nevertheless, the 25HP stands as a testament to the brand’s commitment to innovation and luxury in the golden age of early automotive history.
