Information about Bollinger

Bollinger Motors, founded by Robert Bollinger in New York in 2015, marked a daring venture into the electric vehicle (EV) landscape with a distinct vision for rugged, all-electric trucks. Initially, Bollinger’s ambition materialized in the form of the B1 SUV and the B2 pickup, vehicles designed from the ground up to cater to off-road enthusiasts and utility users with their robust capabilities and electric efficiency.

However, as the automotive market evolved and the commercial sector displayed burgeoning potential, Bollinger Motors pivoted significantly. In 2021, the company announced a strategic shift away from consumer vehicles to concentrate exclusively on electric commercial trucks. This move was aligned with a broader industry trend towards electrification in commercial transportation, focusing on medium-duty trucks that cater to business needs.

The transition appears to be well-timed as Bollinger has recently kicked off pilot production of its B4 chassis cab, which is geared towards fleet use and is expected to enter full production in 2024. Additionally, the acquisition by Mullen Automotive in 2022 has bolstered Bollinger’s position, providing the financial backing and strategic partnership necessary to accelerate its new focus on commercial electric vehicles
