Founded in the early 1960s, Brasinca initially thrived as a manufacturer of truck bodies, but it was their foray into automobile production that etched their name in history. The brand’s ambitious founders ventured into car manufacturing with the launch of the Brasinca Uirapuru in 1964, an exotic and powerful grand tourer named after a mystical bird from Amazonian folklore. With only 77 units produced, the Uirapuru featured a robust Chevrolet inline-six engine, distinguishing itself with its handcrafted body and performance that could rival contemporary European sports cars.

Despite its engineering prowess and distinctive design, Brasinca did not continue in car production, returning its focus to commercial vehicles. Today, while Brasinca no longer operates as an independent entity, the spirit of the Uirapuru lives on among classic car enthusiasts and collectors.
