Cizeta

Information about Cizeta

The Cizeta brand, an emblem of automotive audacity, was born from the ambitious dreams of music producer Giorgio Moroder and exotic car dealer Claudio Zampolli. Officially named Cizeta Automobili, the company surfaced in 1988, introducing itself with the striking Cizeta-Moroder V16T. This car, a marvel of engineering, featured a unique 16-cylinder engine arranged in a transverse layout, an anomaly that set hearts racing in the automotive community.

The Cizeta-Moroder V16T, originally designed by Marcello Gandini, who later revised his work due to disagreements with Lamborghini, showcased a bold aesthetic and performance figures that rivaled the best of its era. Despite its initial appeal and the exotic allure of its 6.0-liter engine capable of 540 horsepower, Cizeta struggled to maintain a steady production. The 1990s saw fewer than a dozen of these spectacular machines built, making them a rare sight even among the most exclusive collections.

Today, Cizeta maintains a niche appeal, celebrated more for its audacious attempt to redefine luxury and power than for commercial success. The brand survives largely as a testament to the era of excess in automotive design, with the V16T standing as a cult icon, embodying the spirit of an age where innovation knew no bounds.
