1969 - 1971

Ferrari 512 S/M

The Ferrari 512 S/M, developed in 1969 and 1970, was Ferrari’s response to the dominant Porsche 917 in endurance racing. Powered by a 5.0-liter V12 engine producing over 550 horsepower, the 512 S (Spyder) and 512 M (Modified) represented Ferrari’s cutting-edge engineering and aerodynamic innovations. These race cars competed in events like the 24 Hours of Le Mans, where they showcased Ferrari’s prowess on the global motorsport stage. The 512 M featured updates for improved aerodynamics, power, and reliability. While success was limited, the 512 S/M remains an icon of Ferrari’s golden age of racing.
