Information about Fisker

Fisker, an automotive brand renowned for its luxury electric vehicles, was founded by Danish designer Henrik Fisker in 2007. Initially, Fisker Automotive launched with ambitious plans, exemplified by its first car, the Fisker Karma. This vehicle was one of the earliest luxury plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, combining stylish design with innovative technology.

Despite early successes, including significant enthusiasm for the Karma, Fisker Automotive faced financial difficulties, culminating in a bankruptcy filing in 2013. After its assets were purchased by the Wanxiang Group, the company was reborn as Karma Automotive, which continued to produce the Karma under the new name, Karma Revero.

In 2016, Henrik Fisker established a new company, Fisker Inc., which marked a fresh start with a focus on mass-market electric vehicles. Among its newer offerings, the Fisker Ocean, an all-electric SUV, showcases the brand’s commitment to sustainability, featuring recycled materials and a solar roof. However, Fisker Inc. has faced challenges too, including recent financial losses and operational setbacks that have put its future into question. Despite these hurdles, the company continues to push forward with innovative designs and plans for new models, such as the Fisker Pear and the electric pickup, Fisker Alaska.
