Information about Gyon

Gyon, a fledgling luxury electric vehicle (EV) brand based in Chengdu, China, was launched in 2018 by Joe Chao under the umbrella of SiTech, a subsidiary of the major Chinese automotive conglomerate FAW Group. From its inception, Gyon has aimed to carve out a niche in the competitive electric vehicle market by focusing on luxury and performance.

The brand marked its entry into the automotive world with the introduction of its first concept vehicle, the Gyon Matchless Concept, at the 2019 Shanghai Auto Show. This vehicle showcased a range of advanced technologies including Gyon’s proprietary G-OS intelligent vehicle operating system, which promises high levels of autonomy and an innovative user experience. The vehicle also features rapid charging capabilities, aiming for an 80% charge in just 10 minutes, positioning it as a direct competitor to traditional combustion engine vehicles in terms of convenience.

Despite these ambitious technological promises, Gyon’s market presence remains nascent, with plans to launch a variety of models including sedans, SUVs, crossovers, and station wagons over the coming years. As it stands, Gyon’s efforts to establish a significant foothold in the global EV market are still unfolding, with the automotive world watching closely to see if they can indeed meet their bold promises and projected sales targets.
