Swallow Doretti, a marque that briefly shone in the British automotive scene, has a history as intriguing as its distinctive name. Founded in the early 1950s by Swallow Coachbuilding Company, originally known for their work with the SS Jaguar, the brand was an ambitious foray into the sports car market by company director Frank Rainbow. Named to blend Italian flair with British engineering, “Doretti” was an amalgamation aimed at capturing the era’s fascination with speed and elegance.

The Swallow Doretti made its mark with the introduction of the TR2-based sports car. Featuring a tubular chassis and aluminum bodywork, it promised performance and style. Despite its well-received design and robust performance, only about 276 units were produced between 1954 and 1955.
