The Toyota LiteAce and TownAce are a line of light commercial and passenger vans from Toyota. Originally featuring a cab-over-engine design, the vehicles shifted to a semi-cab-over setup in 1996. The LiteAce debuted in 1970 as a light-duty truck, expanding to include commercial and van/wagon options in 1971. Toyota introduced the larger TownAce van/wagon in 1976, which was based on the LiteAce platform, followed by a TownAce truck in 1978.
