Volkswagen is pushing hard to bring electric mobility to the masses, and the new ID. EVERY1 concept is a bold step in that direction. Positioned as an entry-level EV priced around €20,000, this small hatchback is designed to be both practical and accessible. But does it live up to Volkswagen’s promise of creating an electric car for everyone? Let’s break it down.

A Familiar but Fresh Design

The ID. EVERY1 takes inspiration from VW’s past compact icons like the Lupo and up!, but brings a modern twist. The boxy shape, minimalist front fascia, and smiling rear design create a car that is both functional and full of character. Unlike some of VW’s larger EVs, this model keeps things simple and approachable.

At 3,880mm long, it sits between the previous up! (3,600mm) and the current Polo (4,074mm), making it ideal for urban environments. Slim LED headlights, a clean front grille design, and compact proportions ensure that this car blends efficiency with style.

The ID. EVERY1 isn’t about jaw-dropping speed—it’s about affordability and efficiency. Under the hood (or rather, under the floor) is a 70kW (95hp) electric motor driving the front wheels. While that might not sound like much, for city driving and daily commuting, it’s more than enough.

Inside, the ID. EVERY1 sticks to Volkswagen’s no-frills, user-friendly approach. A digital driver display and a large infotainment screen sit at the heart of the cabin, keeping controls intuitive and easy to use.
