The Acura ILX is a compact car under the Acura brand, manufactured by Honda and based on the ninth-generation Civic sedan. It replaced the Acura CSX in the Canadian market and was Acura's first gasoline-electric hybrid version. The concept version of the ILX was first revealed at the 2012 North American International Auto Show, with the production version making its debut at the 2012 Chicago Auto Show. Bringing a fresh design approach, Acura termed the ILX as having "aero-fused dynamics."
