Aston Martin DB6

1965 – 1971

The Aston Martin DB6 is a British grand tourer produced from 1965 to 1971, serving as the direct successor to the DB5 and representing the final significant evolution of the David Brown-era inline-six grand tourers. Built on a refined version of the platform shared with its predecessors, the DB6 introduced improved aerodynamics, a longer wheelbase for greater rear passenger space, and revised suspension geometry that sharpened its handling compared to the DB5. It is closely associated with British automotive craftsmanship of the 1960s and remains a benchmark of the classic GT era, with period ownership by figures including Prince Charles adding to its cultural profile. Notable variants include the Volante convertible and the short-wheelbase Mk I specification, along with the updated Mk II introduced in 1969 featuring detail refinements and wider wheel arch options.
