The Coupe E 20V pairs the five-cylinder 20-valve engine producing 167 PS with a front-wheel-drive automatic transmission, making it the only automatic-gearbox option in the B3-based Coupe lineup. The 20-valve head, shared with the quattro variant, delivered broader power delivery than the earlier 10-valve units. The 9.6-second 0-100 km/h time reflects the trade-off of the automatic transmission against the more driver-focused manual quattro alternatives.
