The Audi Q5 is a series of compact luxury crossover SUVs manufactured by the German carmaker Audi since 2008. The first-generation model, known as Typ 8R, was introduced as the third vehicle in the B8 family, following the Audi A5 and A4. It was built on the Audi MLB platform. In 2018, the second-generation Q5 (Typ 80A) was launched, sharing the Audi MLB Evo platform with the A4 and A5 B9 versions. A concept vehicle for the upcoming Q5 showcased a 2-door convertible design powered by a 3.0 TDI engine producing 240 PS (177 kW; 237 hp) and 500 N⋅m (369 lbf⋅ft) of torque. This model boasted features like quattro permanent all-wheel drive, an 8-speed automatic transmission, LED headlights, 21-inch wheels with 265/35R21 tires, White Stone leather seats, MMI system, Bang & Olufsen sound system, and internet radio.
