The Audi TT is a popular front-engine, 2-door sports coupé and roadster that was in production from 1998 to 2023 across three generations. Each generation of the TT was based on Volkswagen's "Group A" platforms, starting with the PQ34 fourth generation. The TT shares powertrain and suspension layouts with other models, such as the Audi A3. The first two generations of the TT were assembled by Audi's Hungarian subsidiary, utilizing bodyshells manufactured and painted at Audi's Ingolstadt plant. The third generation, however, saw the parts being entirely made by the Hungarian factory. The TT features a transversely mounted front-engine, offering front-wheel drive or four-wheel drive options, as well as fully independent suspension with MacPherson struts in the front. Ultimately, the Audi TT became a well-loved model, with a total of 662,762 units produced until its discontinuation in November 2023.
