The Beijing Automobile Works (BAW) BJ212, also known as the BJ2020 series, is a versatile four-wheel drive vehicle that originated as a 2.4 L four-cylinder gas-engine powered offroad utility vehicle. Over time, four-cylinder diesel engines were also introduced, increasing the vehicle's capabilities. Originally based on Russian off-roaders from UAZ, particularly the UAZ-469, the BJ212 made its debut in 1965 and has since been a popular choice in the half-tonne class of offroad vehicles.
