The 750Li arrived with the 2005 facelift carrying a 4.8-litre V8 producing 367 hp and 490 Nm, reaching 100 km/h in 6.0 seconds. It replaced the 745Li as the top petrol V8 option and delivered stronger performance figures while remaining below the twelve-cylinder 760Li. The combination of the extended wheelbase and V8 power made it a direct competitor to the Mercedes-Benz S500 L of the same period.
