Introduced with the 2017 model year update and replacing the M235i, the M240i produces 340 hp and 500 Nm from an updated 3.0-litre turbocharged straight-six, with the rear-wheel-drive manual version covering 0-100 km/h in 4.8 seconds. The revised B58 engine offered greater low-end torque and improved refinement over the outgoing N55 unit, and M Performance specification includes an active M rear differential and Adaptive M suspension.
