The 320d xDrive Steptronic liftback shares the 190 hp, 400 Nm diesel engine and eight-speed Steptronic automatic with its rear-wheel-drive counterpart but adds BMW's xDrive all-wheel-drive system. Despite the added mechanical complexity and weight, the 0-100 km/h time is identical at 7.7 seconds. The xDrive system improves traction in low-grip conditions, making this variant more suited to markets with adverse winter weather.
