The xDrive variant of the post-facelift 420d Gran Coupé adds BMW's all-wheel-drive system to the 190 hp, 400 Nm turbodiesel package, with a marginal 0.1-second penalty to 0-100 km/h compared to the rear-drive version, reaching the benchmark in 7.4 seconds. The combination of the Gran Coupé liftback body, diesel efficiency, and all-weather traction made this a practical all-rounder in markets where xDrive demand is high.
