BMW›5 Series›F10›523i Steptronic EU

The European Steptronic version of the 523i improves on the non-EU automatic specification with a higher peak torque output of 270 Nm, cutting the 0 to 100 km/h time to 8.2 seconds despite using the same 204 hp inline-six. The difference in torque and performance figures compared to the non-EU Steptronic suggests market-specific calibration or equipment variation. It pairs the six-cylinder refinement of the 523i with automatic convenience in a form optimised for European driving conditions.
