The xDrive Touring version of the 528i uses a turbocharged 3.0-litre inline-six producing 245 hp and 350 Nm, a different output than the rear-wheel-drive 528i sedan, routed through all four wheels via BMW's xDrive system and a Steptronic automatic gearbox. Despite the lower power figure, it matches the sedan's 6.7-second 0 to 100 km/h time, likely due to the torque advantage and AWD launch traction. The Touring body and xDrive combination made it one of the most practically versatile and all-conditions capable variants in the F10 range.
