The 760Li is the absolute performance and prestige pinnacle of the E65 generation, powered by a 6.0-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine producing 445 hp and 600 Nm of torque, with a 0-100 km/h time of 5.6 seconds. It was the only V12 variant in the lineup and used a six-speed automatic transmission to manage its output through rear-wheel drive in the long-wheelbase body. The 760Li positioned the E65 generation against the Mercedes-Benz S600 and positioned BMW's V12 engineering as a direct counter to rival flagship offerings.
