The ActiveHybrid 7, produced from 2008 to 2012, paired a twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine with an electric motor to produce a combined 465 hp and 700 Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h time of 4.9 seconds in the standard-wheelbase F01 body. It was among the first full-size luxury sedans to offer a hybrid powertrain without a significant performance penalty, sending drive to the rear wheels through an automatic transmission.
