Introduced with the 2012 facelift, the 730d Steptronic applies to the standard-wheelbase F02 body, pairing the 3.0-litre straight-six turbodiesel's 258 hp and 560 Nm with an eight-speed Steptronic gearbox. The 560 Nm torque figure, identical to the long-wheelbase 730Ld, contributes to a brisk 6.1-second 0 to 100 km/h time on the shorter, lighter body. Rear-wheel drive is standard.
