Brabham BT62

2018 – 2022

The Brabham BT62 is a track-only supercar produced by the revived Brabham Automotive brand from 2018 to 2022, built in limited numbers as a tribute to the historic Brabham racing name. Developed in Adelaide, Australia, the BT62 is powered by a naturally aspirated 5.4-litre V8 producing 700 horsepower, mounted in a carbon fibre monocoque chassis that keeps the car's weight to around 972 kg. It is particularly known for its extreme aerodynamic downforce figures, with the bodywork generating over 1,200 kg of downforce at speed, making it a serious circuit competitor rather than a road-legal showpiece. A road-legal variant, the BT62R, was subsequently developed to allow owners to drive the car to and from the track, broadening the BT62's usability without fundamentally altering its race-focused engineering.
