The Brilliance BS4, also known as Zhonghua Junjie, is a compact four-door notchback sedan manufactured by Brilliance Auto in China. Originally planned for a 2007 launch in Germany, the car faced setbacks due to poor crash test results for the BS6 model. As a result of negative press feedback, the Western launch was postponed, and German sales were rescheduled for 2008 after structural modifications were made to improve crash test ratings. Despite these efforts, the BS4 ultimately achieved a disappointing 0-star rating in European crash tests.
