The BYD D1 is a compact electric multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) specifically designed for ride-hailing services, developed by Chinese automaker BYD in collaboration with ride-hailing giant DiDi. This purpose-built vehicle is part of an initiative that saw DiDi partnering with automakers such as Volkswagen, BAIC, and BYD to create intelligent vehicles for ride-hailing and fleet management back in 2018.
