The third-generation DeVille Coupe is a two-door hardtop body style built on Cadillac's full-size C-body platform, sharing its architecture with the sedan but offering a longer roofline and more pronounced fastback profile. Power came from Cadillac's 429 cubic inch V8, later replaced by a 472 cubic inch unit introduced for 1968, producing 375 horsepower and paired with a Turbo Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. The Coupe DeVille carried premium interior appointments and was consistently one of the best-selling models in the DeVille lineup throughout this generation.
