Caterham Seven CSR

2005–2024

The Caterham Seven CSR represents one of the most refined and powerful variants in the Seven lineup, introduced in 2005 as a platform designed to push the car's capabilities toward genuine supercar performance while retaining the fundamental lightweight, open-top formula. The CSR designation brought a wider bodywork and a revised chassis compared to standard Seven variants, accommodating more powerful Ford Duratec-based engines in higher-displacement configurations. Its combination of a sub-500 kg kerb weight with outputs reaching into the 260 bhp range in top CSR 260 trim produced power-to-weight figures that few production cars could match at any price point. The CSR remained in production through 2024, serving as the flagship expression of the Seven concept for nearly two decades.
