Changan Automobile Co., Ltd. (CCAG) is a state-owned Chinese automaker with its headquarters located in Jiangbei, Chongqing. The company has a rich history dating back to 1862 when it originated as a military supply factory established by Li Hongzhang known as the Shanghai Foreign Gun Bureau. In 1979, the company shifted its focus to automobile manufacturing when it began producing Suzuki vehicles. As one of the prominent players in the Chinese automotive industry, Changan Automobile is a part of the "Big Four" state-owned car manufacturers in China alongside SAIC Motor, FAW Group, and Dongfeng Motor Corporation. Despite being the smallest among these major players, Changan Automobile has steadily increased its production and sales figures
