The Chevrolet C/K was a versatile series of trucks produced by General Motors from 1960 to 2002 under both the Chevrolet and GMC divisions. This series included a diverse range of vehicles beyond just pickup trucks, such as chassis-cab and medium-duty trucks, as well as serving as the foundation for GM's full-size SUVs. Competing directly with the Ford F-Series and the Dodge D Series (later the Dodge Ram pickup) throughout its production, the C/K line was influential in the American truck market. The C/K series had a simple yet effective naming convention - "C" signified two-wheel drive models while "K" indicated four-wheel drive models. This clear differentiation helped consumers easily identify the type of drivetrain in each vehicle
