The Chrysler LeBaron, known as the Imperial LeBaron, was a line of luxury automobiles produced by Chrysler between 1931 and 1995. Originally introduced in 1931 with a body manufactured by LeBaron, these cars competed with other luxury models like Lincoln and Packard. After acquiring the LeBaron brand and its parent company, Chrysler introduced the Imperial make in 1955, selling cars under the name Imperial LeBaron until 1975. The LeBaron name was then revived in 1977 as Chrysler's entry-level vehicle when the Imperial brand was discontinued.
