Chrysler Valiant CM

1978 – 1981

The Chrysler Valiant CM, produced from 1978 to 1981, represents the final generation of the long-running Australian Valiant lineup, closing out nearly two decades of continuous production. As the last of the line, the CM carried significant weight as Chrysler Australia's concluding statement on a nameplate that had defined the brand's local identity since 1962. Its production end in 1981 coincided with the broader withdrawal of Chrysler's Australian manufacturing operations, making the CM not just the last Valiant but effectively the last chapter of an independent Chrysler presence in the Australian market.
