Dongfeng Sokon Automobile, also known as DFSK Motor, was established as a joint venture between Dongfeng and Seres Group (formerly Sokon Group) on June 27, 2003. Originally focused on producing microvans and flat-bed commercial trucks for small Chinese businesses, DFSK has expanded its product lineup to include passenger vehicles and SUVs under the Xiaokang, Fengguang (Fengon), and Glory brands. The company's manufacturing operations are spread across four facilities, with two in Hubei Shiyan and two in Chongqing. In the early 2000s, Chongqing Yu'an Innovation Technology (Group) and Dongfeng Motor explored the potential for manufacturing microvans
