The Dodge Caravan, produced by Chrysler from 1984 to 2020, is a series of minivans that was offered in passenger and cargo van configurations. In 1987, a long-wheelbase version known as the Dodge Grand Caravan was introduced and became the primary version in 2008. Over 36 years and five generations, the Dodge Caravan established itself as the second longest-lived Dodge nameplate, after the Dodge Charger. Initially positioned as the Dodge equivalent of the Plymouth Voyager, the Caravan was later positioned between the Voyager and the Chrysler Town & Country in the Chrysler minivan lineup. As the years went by, it eventually became the most affordable Chrysler minivan, positioned below the Chrysler Pacifica. Key Points: 1.
