The D Series, also known as the D/W series, was a popular line of pickup trucks produced by Dodge from October 1960 until September 30, 1993. These trucks shared the same design until a complete overhaul was introduced in October 1993 with the new Dodge Ram. The D/W series trucks were built on the AD platform, which was also used for the Dodge Ramcharger and Plymouth Trail Duster models. The trucks were designated as D for two-wheel-drive (4x2) models and W for four-wheel-drive (4x4) models.
