DOK-ING

DOK-ING is a Croatian engineering company, primarily known for its specialized vehicles and automation technology. Founded in 1991 by Vjekoslav Majetić, the company initially focused on demining equipment but quickly expanded its portfolio to include robotic firefighting systems and electric vehicles. The brand made headlines with the introduction of the "XD", a compact urban electric car, unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 2010. The XD distinguished itself with its innovative design, featuring a unique three-seat configuration that placed the driver in the center, akin to the iconic McLaren F1. This electric microcar was developed to address urban mobility challenges, boasting a fully electric drivetrain that promised both efficiency and minimal environmental impact. Today, DOK-ING's innovative streak continues as it pioneers in various technology sectors, though the automotive branch has seen mixed success. Their focus remains on enhancing and expanding their range of high-tech, specialized vehicles that cater to specific industry needs, including their ongoing commitment to improving safety and efficiency in hazardous environments like mining and firefighting. This adaptability and innovative spirit underscore DOK-ING's sustained influence and ambition in the niche sectors it serves.
