Ferrari 250 LM

1963 – 1966

The Ferrari 250 LM is a mid-engined GT racing car produced by Ferrari from 1963 to 1966, built in limited numbers as a homologation attempt for GT-class competition. Despite Ferrari's efforts, the FIA declined to homologate it as a GT car due to insufficient production numbers, meaning it competed as a prototype throughout its career. The 250 LM is best known for its overall victory at the 1965 24 Hours of Le Mans, driven by Masten Gregory and Jochen Rindt in a privately entered NART car, making it the last Ferrari to win outright at Le Mans. The designation "LM" stands for Le Mans, and while no distinct production variants were officially released, individual chassis differed in minor bodywork details across the run of approximately 32 cars built.
