The Ferrari 550 Barchetta Pininfarina is an open-top, two-seat roadster derived from the 550 Maranello coupe, produced between 2000 and 2001 as a limited-edition model to mark Pininfarina's 70th anniversary. Ferrari built just 448 examples, making it one of the more deliberately scarce production Ferraris of its era. It shares the 550 Maranello's front-mounted 5.5-litre V12 engine and rear-wheel-drive architecture but replaces the fixed roof with a low windscreen and a minimal folding soft top intended primarily for emergency use. A small run of right-hand-drive examples was produced for the UK market, distinguishing those cars as a notable sub-variant within the already limited production total.
