The Fiat 126, also known as Type 126, was a compact city car produced by Fiat for nearly three decades from 1972 to 2000. This four-passenger vehicle had a rear-engine layout and was designed to succeed the popular Fiat 500. Debuting at the Turin Auto Show in 1972, the Fiat 126 inherited several styling cues from its predecessor.
