Fiat 500 D

1960 – 1965

The Fiat 500, a popular A-segment city car, has been in production since 2007 under the Fiat subdivision of Stellantis. It comes in hatchback coupé and fixed-profile convertible versions within a single generation, with a facelift in Europe in 2016. Internally known as the Type 312 by FCA, the 500 draws inspiration from the 1957 Fiat 500, also known as the Bambino, designed by Dante Giacosa. This modern iteration was based on the 2004 Fiat Trepiùno 3+1 concept created by Roberto Giolito, who later received the prestigious Compasso d'Oro industrial design award for the 500 in 2011. Manufactured in Tychy, Poland, and Toluca, Mexico, the Fiat 500 is sold in over 100 countries, including North America, where it marked the brand's return after 27 years. Fiat has a rich history with the original Fiat 500, and the current model pays homage to its iconic predecessor with its stylish design and compact city-friendly features. Key Points: 1.
