The Ford Explorer Sport Trac, or Ford Sport Trac, was a pickup truck manufactured by Ford Motor Company for the North American market from 2001 to 2010 (excluding 2006). Positioned between Ford's Ranger and F-150 models, it primarily competed with crew-cab variants of vehicles like the Chevrolet Colorado, GMC Canyon, Dodge Dakota, Nissan Frontier, and Toyota Tacoma. The Sport Trac was Ford's first mid-sized pickup truck. This vehicle was produced over two generations, sharing its chassis and much of its body with the Ford Explorer SUV.
