Ford Falcon FG X

2014 – 2016

The Ford Falcon FG X was produced from 2014 to 2016 as the final generation of the long-running Australian Ford Falcon lineup, representing the last chapter before Ford ceased local manufacturing in Australia. It built on the foundations of the preceding FG series with revised styling and refinements to its turbocharged inline-six and naturally aspirated V8 powertrain options. The FG X XR8 variant carried the performance torch for the nameplate, pairing the supercharged V8 with sports-tuned suspension and visual distinctions that marked it out from the base range. As the concluding generation of a model line stretching back to 1960, the FG X holds a particular place in Australian automotive history as the swan song of a domestically engineered rear-wheel-drive sedan.
