The Ford Laser is a compact car model that was originally a subcompact car for its initial three generations. Marketed by Ford in Asia, Oceania, and select regions of South America and Africa, the Ford Laser has primarily been offered as a sedan or hatchback variant, with convertible, wagon, and pick-up versions also being made available in certain markets. In Australia from 1981 to 1987, the sedan and briefly the station wagon models were marketed under the Ford Meteor badge. The Ford Meteor name was also used in South Africa during this time.
