GAC Trumpchi GS8 1st Gen

The Trumpchi GS8 is a mid-size crossover SUV produced by GAC Group under the Trumpchi brand in China and globally under the GAC Motor brand. The first generation was introduced in 2016 and featured a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 148 kW (201 PS; 198 hp) and 320 N⋅m of torque. It was designed by former Mercedes-Benz designer Fan Zhang and showcased at the Beijing Auto Show and later at the Detroit Auto Show. The GS8 was the largest vehicle in Trumpchi's product lineup at that time. An updated version of the first generation, the Trumpchi GS7, was launched in 2020 and renamed as the Trumpchi GS8S. In 2021, the second generation of the Trumpchi GS8 was unveiled with a longer and wider body, as well as an extended wheelbase compared to its predecessor. The new model aimed to build on the success of the first generation by offering improved features and design elements. The GS8 is equipped with a six-speed automatic gearbox that can transmit power to either the front wheels or all four wheels, providing versatility and performance for different driving conditions.
