The GAZ-3102 Volga was produced by the Gorkovsky Avtomobilny Zavod (GAZ) from 1982 to 2009 as part of the Volga series. The car was initially known as the GAZ-3101 when prototypes were first introduced in 1976. The design of the GAZ-3102 Volga featured a modern front fascia inspired by American styling trends, and showcased square headlights from East Germany with water jet washers, an angular chrome bumper with resin lining, and fog lamps below.
