Honda Civic 8th Gen Type R

2006 – 2010 · Japan

The eighth-generation Honda Civic, produced by Honda from 2005 to 2012, was a compact car (C-segment) range that succeeded the seventh-generation Civic. This generation comprised four body styles: sedan, coupe, and three-door and five-door hatchback. The sedan variant had two unique styling options tailored for different markets, such as the Acura CSX in Canada and the Ciimo 1.8 in China (2012-2016). The European-market Civic range featured hatchback variations with its own distinct architecture, body design, and smaller footprint, exclusively manufactured in Swindon, United Kingdom. A notable addition to the lineup was the Type R performance model, introduced in 2007 for the sedan and three-door hatchback versions. The sedan Type R was primarily available in Japan and limited markets in Asia. Key points: 1. Eighth-generation Honda Civic: Produced by Honda from 2005 to 2012. 2.
