The Honda Inspire is a mid-size sedan originally introduced in late 1989 as the Accord Inspire, alongside the Honda Vigor. It was marketed in Japan under different retail channels as Honda Verno for the Vigor/Saber and as the Inspire at Honda Clio stores. In 1995, an updated version of the Inspire was exported to the US market as the Acura 3.2 TL, while the Honda Vigor was replaced by the Honda Saber. The Acura 2.5 TL, utilizing a longitudinal 2.5L straight-five engine layout, was also offered. By 1999, the first-generation Inspire and its US counterparts were succeeded by the second generation TL. This new model was based on the US-spec Accord platform and was predominantly designed and developed by Honda R&D Americas, Inc. Key points about the Honda Inspire include: 1.
