Initially showcased as the JAC Eagle SII concept at the 2012 Beijing Auto Show, it made its debut as the JAC Eagle S5 at the 2012 Guangzhou Auto Show before being rebranded as the Refine S5 during a subsequent facelift to align with the Refine sub-brand. The pricing for the JAC Eagle S5 started at 89,800 yuan and peaked at 135,800 yuan. After the facelift, the Refine S5 was priced between 89,500 yuan and 139,500 yuan.
